We know that buying shoes online can be a guessing game as you can't try them on first. That's why we accept returns and exchanges on most items. All we ask is that you send your return within 14 calendar days and whatever you are sending back is unworn and in the same condition in which you received it. There are some things we can't take back, like custom made shoes. Please read the Conditions below for full details.


Trying on


When trying on your shoes, please stand on a carpet or rug to avoid scratching the soles. We know you need to see how they feel when turning and pivoting but please don't do this on a hard floor.


The shoes should feel snug but comfortable. They may feel tight at first around the toe area. You may even find that one shoe feels tighter than the other - this is because most people have one foot slightly bigger than the other. It's perfectly normal and not an indication of a faulty or worn shoe.


Please bear in mind that patent leather and fabric will feel stiff, and all shoes will take one or two outings to wear in. If a shoe feels far too small or tight however, please do not force it to fit!


How to return or exchange


1. To return or exchange an item, please first email or call us with details of what you are returning, and be sure to give a phone number or email address where we can reach you if we have any queries. If you want to make an exchange for another item that we have in stock please give the item name and size and we will reserve it for you.


2. Pack the items you are returning in a box, together with any shoe bag that was provided, filling spaces to minimise movement. Please do not use a padded "Jiffy" bag unless you're returning accessories only.


3. We will provide you with the address to write on the parcel.


4. You may use whichever shipping provider you wish for returns but please ensure they provide some sort of tracking or delivery confirmation and basic insurance. Royal Mail offers this at reasonable cost. Amy's is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit. We also accept returns in person - contact us to arrange.


On receipt of returned items, we will confirm their condition is resaleable and process your refund or exchange straight away. You'll receive it back to the method you used to pay usually within 3 working days but sometimes it can take longer.




There is no additional shipping charge for your first exchange within the UK. If the items you wish to receive in exchange are a higher price the balance will be due before the exchange can be shipped to you. Payment can be taken online, by phone, PayPal or bank transfer. Please get in touch if you wish to exchange an order sent outside the UK, or if you wish to exchange an item for a second time.



Returns and exchanges are taken within 14 days of receipt, subject to the conditions below.

  • Items must be in their original condition and returned within 14 days of the date you received them. The protective plastic film on the sole of Turquoise shoes must be intact. You are under a duty to take care of any goods you intend to return.

  • You may use whichever service you wish for shipping a return. You are responsible for using suitable packaging to minimise the risk of damage during transit, such as the box you received it in or a sturdy shoe box, together with balled paper or other packing material to minimise movement. Do not use "Jiffy"/padded bags for returning shoes. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt of the goods by Amy's and we will not be responsible for any delays, damage or losses by your chosen shipper.

  • In the case of a refund, shipping costs are not refundable, except in the case of a mistake made by us when we shipped your order. In the case of a return or exchange from outside the UK, any customs and import fees charged by the UK border agency on return of your items to the UK will be deducted from your refund, except in the case of a mistake made by us when we shipped your initial order or exchange.

  • The cost of items purchased using the Multibuy offer will be adjusted if one pair is returned.

  • Group orders, custom orders from Mr Tango Shoes, custom orders from Very Fine and special request orders from Turquoise are non-returnable. However, all (except those custom orders from Mr Tango Shoes with a custom last or mixed sizes) may be exchanged for alternative in-stock items. In the case of a serious error in the manufacturing process, custom orders from Mr Tango Shoes may be returned to the supplier to be remade, subject to agreement by Amy’s and the supplier. If the remake is not due to a supplier error a fee may be chargeable. Please see the custom order pages for more information.

  • Shoes that have clearly been worn will not be accepted for return or exchange. This includes shoes heavily tried on, evidence of wear or dirt on the soles, surface scuffs, stretched uppers or stained insoles.

  • This does not affect your statutory rights.

  • In the case of legitimate and justified complaint of damage or defect to goods received, we will refund, repair or replace an item. Amy’s does not accept responsibility for any damage to goods by shipping carrier or customer.
