Beautiful shoes for tango dancers and brides
Mr Tango Shoes is owned by Jorge Nel Giraldo and Sandra Milena Buitrago. A dancer and teacher for over 30 years, Jorge Nel has been in countless tango films and shows. He even has a day named after him - 15th May in Florida is Jorge Nel day! Sandra Milena is a lifelong dancer, a national champion in Tango Salon and a passionate proponent of Colombian tango talent.
Son of a shoemaker, Jorge Nel has been creating shoes since 1990. Made in Manizales, Colombia, his team use local leathers known for being buttery soft and strong. Imagine the softness of a designer handbag, but on a shoe! The shoes have an exceptionally strong shank, user friendly heels and wonderful padding. The attention to detail is superb - pretty shapes, secure straps (no flimsy elastic!) and full leather lining. Their mens shoes are works of art - strong, comfortable creations with leather inside and out.

Turquoise Shoes are famous for being visually stunning. Their unique creations are handmade by a team of dancers in Istanbul.
After years of not finding the right shoes for tango, Baris Sozen, Hande Orhan and Hasan Seremet started their own shoe line, focussing on fit, comfort and knockout style. They have a successful distributorship with representatives all over the world. In 2014 they started designing for Dancing With the Stars USA with the show's official shoe supplier, Worldtone Dance.
The shoes are lightweight but stable, with good padding, soft soles and full leather lining. Each shoe is decorated with their signature butterfly on the buckle. The unusual designs are made in limited runs, ensuring you stand out on the dance floor. Turquoise Leon shoes for men feature ultra soft leather soles and stylish designs and colours with beautiful detail and finishing.
